A private commercial helicopter crashed in a hilly terrain near the Mount Everest area in Nepal, resulting in the loss of all six individuals on board. The victims included five Mexican nationals and the pilot.
The bodies of five out of the six victims were discovered at the crash site. The ill-fated helicopter, a Manang Air NA-MV, departed from Surke Airport in Solukhumbu district at 10:04 am en route to Kathmandu. However, contact with the helicopter was lost at 10:13 am. The crash occurred in the Lamjura area of Likhupike Rural Municipality in the remote and mountainous Solukhumbu district.
This tragic incident has left the aviation community and the nation in mourning. Authorities will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash and take appropriate measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
