India Pavilion Shines at Arab Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo 2023
The Arab Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo 2023 witnessed a remarkable success with the ‘India Pavilion,’ showcasing India’s thriving pharmaceutical industry. The exhibition, held at the Jordan International Exhibition Centre (JIEC), was inaugurated on July 11, 2023, by H.E. Mr. Anwar Haleem, the Ambassador of India to Jordan.
Supported by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) and the Embassy of India, the ‘India Pavilion’ featured over 100 companies representing various pharmaceutical products and services. This impressive presence highlighted India’s technological advancements, manufacturing capabilities, and commitment to the global pharmaceutical sector.
With a total of 192 participating companies, the ‘India Pavilion’ stood out as a significant destination for visitors. The exhibition showcased cutting-edge technologies and modern manufacturing processes across multiple categories, including processing machines, packaging machinery, cleanroom equipment, analytical instruments, pharmaceutical formulations, and water treatment systems.
The Indian companies participating in the Expo had the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, including Jordanian enterprises and regional players, fostering valuable networking opportunities. This platform facilitated future collaborations and business partnerships in the dynamic Middle East market.
India’s pharmaceutical exports to Jordan have witnessed substantial growth, reaching an impressive US$28.14 million in the financial year 2022-23, reflecting a remarkable 33% increase compared to the previous year. The success of the ‘India Pavilion’ at the Arab Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo 2023 played a vital role in further strengthening the trade relations between India and Jordan in the pharmaceutical sector.
H.E. Mr. Anwar Haleem, the Ambassador of India to Jordan, expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming response received by the ‘India Pavilion.’ He emphasized the high demand for Indian pharma engineering equipment, API/Chemicals, and the acceptance of Indian products in the Middle East’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
